This piece is very true to it's picture very defined. The cup itself is of fine quality as well. The story behind it was beautiful to read. When I look at it, it will take me back to the first time that I saw and read the story. Glad I took the time to purchase. No regrets!

In this painting, the robe-like blanket wrapped around his shoulders gives him apostolic air. In the background I have placed the Cascade Mountains. which were part of the hunting grounds of the Nez Perces. There is a simplicity to this work which is in keeping with Chief Joseph's life."
